Accounting and payroll Administrator -CWRG

Program Description


This ONLINE program is designed to introduce the participants to bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting and help them acquire basic bookkeeping skills and be able to understand financial statements. Students will become familiar with bookkeeping and accounting techniques, various taxation forms, keeping track of expenses, and analyzing various financial statements.


Program Eligibility


• BC secondary school graduation or equivalent, or Mature Student Status 19 years of age

• Be able to study Online/Blended Learning for Theory Parts Only: In order to complete the

the theory portion of the program, students must have the following:

• Laptop.

• Internet connection (Ethernet/WiFi)

• Microphone, headset & webcam


Eligibility Criteria


• Participants must reside in BC and be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons

• Participants must have a Social Insurance Number (SIN) and:

• Unemployed, employed (part-time, seasonal, or casual), or precariously employed and seeking training to find a new job

• Participants currently receiving regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, and those on Income Assistance (IA), are eligible to participate in a CWRG-funded training project
