Hospitality Operations Certificate

Program Description

Hospitality Operations Certificate is a free government-funded training program that provides 26 weeks of supervisory and management training including 18 weeks of occupational skills training in the hospitality sector, addressing market disruption to the sector from COVID-19, as employers prepare for the expected recovery and labor-force shortage.

Admission Requirement

• Unemployed, part-time employed or precariously employed

• At least 18 years old

• Insignia College English assessment test or IELTS 5.5 or equivalent

• BC Resident with Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residents, or Protected persons entitled to work in Canada

•Participants will receive 18 weeks of theory, and practical training delivered by experienced/qualified instructors to prepare them to gain foundational skills as Supervisors/Managers

•Training in safety certifications relevant to the Hospitality Industry
