32 Week Training Program
DENTAL ASSISTANT TRAINING
In partnership with Western Community College, PICS is pleased to offer the Dental Assistant Training Program.
Eligibility Requirements:
-You must be unemployed or underemployed (less than 20 hours / week)
-Must be able to attend the full time training schedule
-Must be on EI or have had a claim in the last 5 years, or have earned more than $2,000 in insurable earnings and paid employee EI premiums on those earnings in at lease 5 of the last 10 years
-OR a British Columbia Employment and Assistance client with a persons with Disabilities (BCEA PWD) designation
-High School graduate and meet College English Language Proficiency Assessment Test
-Undergo a criminal record check
Benefits:
-Graduates become eligible to write the exam to become a certified Dental Assistant
-200 hours of clinical experience
-160 hours of practicum placement
