Construction Ready Training Program

ABOUT THE TRAINING

Funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training under Community Workforce Recovery Grant (CWRG), the Construction Ready Training program provides 14 weeks of training, that includes 9 weeks of occupational skills training provided by ACE Community College, on-the-job training, employment assistance services, and supports to secure sustainable employment with construction employers.


The program is designed for unemployed and underemployed individuals with some interest or

some experience in the industry including those from equity groups (immigrants, women, PWDs,

older workers). Graduates of the program will be prepared for various jobs in the construction industry where demand is high and earning potential is good and have all required safety certifications.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

•Unemployed or part-time employed

• High school graduate or 16 plus

• Be a resident in BC and be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected person with

authorization to work

• Currently living in British Columbia

• Be able to fulfill the English language proficiency and numeracy skills requirements

• Fall Protection/Ladder Safety
