About the Training

COVID Wellness Ambassador Certificate for Persons with Disabilities is fully funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training.

This is a 20- weeks training program for Persons with Special Abilities to help reduce barriers in their employment. The program aims to help persons with disabilities (PWD) to get into sustainable employment in the tertiary sector. For this, experienced job developers and facilitators at PICS Society will provide Essential life and employability skills to the enrolled candidates. This will be followed by directing the participants to STOC training to get certifications like Food Safe etc.; followed by an education program by Western Community College to get Customized Occupational Skills Training. This training will help them get COVID Wellness Ambassador Certificate. The obtained certification will support the clients to explore job opportunities in the tertiary sector, with a focus on customer service, administration, and building service worker occupation sectors.

A practicum period of 4 weeks is also incorporated in the training program to enhance participants’ knowledge and get real-world experience.
