Are You a Carpenter With 4-5 Years/ 9000 hrs of Trades Experience in Canada or Abroad?


Program Description

Fully funded training for RED SEAL certification is delivered to unemployed/laid off immigrants, youth and other individuals, who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Benefits such as daycare, transportation, books & supplies etc are provided to eligible participants.


This training is18 weeks long which includes:

  • 2 week of essential skills training and ITA Trades Documentation & Occupational English Language training
  • 12 weeks occupational skills training in constructions trades for Red Seal Challenge exams, including 1 week of workplace safety certifications
  • 4 weeks of on the job training with support during placement


Program Eligibility

For immigrants or Visible minority or Francophone with Canadian citizen or permanent resident or Refugee protected status and Currently unemployed or precariously employed with 9000 hours of experience in Trade and Living in British Columbia
